Locally milled and air dried 10+ years. Was milled thin for building surfboards. An uncommon tree to find in Washington as it is native to Japan and China. This was from a Seattle home that planted it as an ornamental tree. Very light weight wood a that is very strong and buoyant. Traditionally used in Japan to build tansu cabinets and now extremely popular for wood surfboard/powder surfer building.
